How hard is it to change an Oxygen sensor on a 2001 Chevy Tracker?

The mechanic wants to charge $500+ to do it and says the part is around $220. This seems high and I%26#039;m tempted to try and change it myself. However I%26#039;m new to this stuff so I was wondering what the difficulty level is. I know on standard vehicles it is supposed to be pretty straight forward, but my Tracker is 4CYL/4WD. Does this make it more difficult and that is the reason for the $300+ labor fee? Any help is appreciated.|||Go to the Chevy parts counter and ask to see the oxygen sensor. I%26#039;ve never heard of one costing that much. It can be located in the exhaust pipe very close to where it%26#039;s bolted to the exhaust manifold. In your case they may need to disconnect many things to get at it. If you don%26#039;t get a good answer there, try Car Quest, NAPA or Advance Auto in that order. Car Quest and NAPA sell exhaust systems ask to see the primary pipe and it%26#039;ll show where the sensor is. Good Luck|||Thanks to all who responded.
