How to change oxygen sensor in a 97 toyota camry?

disconnect t the wires from it,,and find a suitable tool that fits it,,and turn it out counter clock wise,,it may be stuck so soak it with some penetrating oil,,to help it loosen up,,once the old one is off be really care full when installing the new one,,they break real easy,,there is a special socket you may need to install the new one,,but most of the time you can do it with just a closed in wrench,,don%26#039;t over tighten it,,you may break it,,then you hook the wire back up,,and your done,,remove the battery cable to erase the memory on the computer,,and then put it back on,,it should do fine after this,,next time you ask a question,,it would help,,if you can tell what kind of car you have,,along with the engine size,,this info is very help full to us when we answer a question,,because all vehicles are different good luck with it,,i hope this help,d.,,i own a repair shop,,so the info i have given you is correct.|||generally, o2 sensor(s) are located in the upper exhaust pipe. Some of them you need a special socket because of the pigtail, while others can be removed with the proper size wrench.|||under the hood you will see the exhaust manifold right in the front.the sensor is held in with two 12mm bolts.turn them counterclockwise to loosen.un plug the sensor it will be a grey connector.then install new one and reassemble.
