What does DTC: 176 mean on the OBD1 for a 94 Ford Taurus?

The Obd1 says DTC: 176

1. HEGO (ho2s) Sensor fault/always lean

2. Insuffucient TP change during no oxygen sensor switch detected.

What should I do? Did I miss plugging something in? Help wanted!

The HEGO is the Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen sensor. They screw into the exhaust pipe of the car in front of the catalytic converter, and look like a spark plug with 4 wires coming out of them. They usually go bad some time after 100k miles. If you have the 3.0 Vulcan, you have one HEGO. The 3.8 Essex has two.

Replace the indicated faulty heated exhaust gas oxygen (HEGO) sensor. The PCM is not seeing the sensor switch voltage indicating an internally shorted sensor.
