I have just changed my oxygen sensor and am trying to get the truck to pass emissions.Am being told that vehicle has to be driven through the drive cycle. drove vehicle already 30 miles since I changed the oxygen senso

Start by letting the engine idle for at least 15 seconds.

For the O2 sensor Drive cycle, you must drive the truck at 40 mph for 5 minutes straight. Fuel level in tank is recommended to be between 1/2 and 3/4 with 3/4 being preferred. O2 sensors DO require a drive Cycle!

I think they mean it needs to go into closed loop. that is when the truck reachs operating temp. around 180 to 220 degrees
30 miles should be sufficient. O2 sensors don't require a drive cycle. If your check engine lite is on stop at Auto Zone and get it scanned and turned off. If it's not on then you are all clear
