2003 Pontiac Sunfire oxygen sensors?

Can they damage the cat. converter if you put off changing them?
2003 Pontiac Sunfire oxygen sensors?
It will only shorten the life of the catalytic converter if the engine is running lean, if it is running rich then you don't have to worry about it. Cats can run red hot and more fuel will cool it down, just like how gas feels cold to the touch if you get it on your skin. It is still recommended to replace bad sensors, and you may fail a emissions test if you have to get one.
