I didn't change my Oxygen sensor soon enough and burnt a valve. How can I get it to pass smog test?

The vehicle I'm talking about is a 1990 Toyota pickup with the 22re motor and a four speed with 238k miles. It passed the last test with flying colors but didn't heed the check engine light because the truck ran great and the light was only intermittent. Suddenly it ran rough, and I'm scared to take it to the test only smog check place and fail. Is there anything I can do? I may have to have some head work done and replace the valve...

There's no way around it. You fix the problem or you will not pass.

Sorry.

Good Luck...

You have to change the O2 or you will NEVER pass
