Changing out an O2 sensor?

I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima, and just found out that the oxygen sensor on the passenger side is not working anymore. How do I go about getting it changed (by myself), and what are some good quality sensors, and what are some affordable brands (I tend to be cheap sometimes, but not cheap enough to buy a piece of crap sensor). Any tips, advice, videos, diagrams, etc. would be most helpful. Thanks!
Changing out an O2 sensor?
They make a special socket for changing out the sensor for about 10 dollars but if you can get a straight wrench {7/8%26quot;} on it then you don't need the socket. The sensor is in the exhaust pipe after the manifold but before the cat. converter, and has an elec. wire going to it. Unplug the wire and slide the box end of a straight wrench over it and turn counter clockwise to remove. Reverse to install and plug back in. %26quot;Bosch%26quot; is the standard and is what I use.

changing it out is real easy it will screw out and then you need to re-thread the new one back in place and tighten it up snug then go about 1/2 turn with it,that will be enough to hold it in,then you,ll need to have the trouble code erased from the compute or it will still show up as being bad, those use a 13/16 wrench to loosen and install them if im not mistaken and bosch is about the best brand to get for that one its not to cheap but a real good sensor with a years warranty on it,you cant beat that, good luck.
How do you know the sensor is bad? If you've made sure with a scan-tool, it's as simple as replacing a sparkplug. You will need a special socket for sensors to remove it. You should locate the sensor, and soak it with a penetrating oil like WD-40, PB Blaster, or something similar the evening before the day you'll do this. If you can get a box-end wrench on it, a few taps with a hammer (on the wrench) should loosen it enough to make removal easier. Your best bet is to check out Expert Village to see if a video is available. If not, I recommend Haynes manuals because they have beau coup pictures.
i use a 7/8 wrench on mine. all you do is disconnect the battery, unhook the sensor wire, screw out the old 1 and screw the new 1 in. you will have to clear the codes after you get done.
Go to a auto parts store and bye you the oem sensor. REQUEST it. And then bye a O2 sensor socket and in ten minutes your done.
if it doesnt come out easy then buy some PB BLASTER .ox sensors can be a bear to remove, soak it down and wait,it will save you stripped threads..
