Oxygen sensors are under high temps. They can be hard to remove. When installing a new one coat the threads only with antisieze compound, but do not get it on the sensor itself. Threads only! It will either be on the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe in front of the catalytic converter. I am pretty sure you only have one oxy sensor. Some V6 engines have 2.
7/8%26quot; or 22mm wrench,if too tight, cut off the wiring plug(on the sensor),since you are going to replace it anyway, then use a 6 point socket or box wrench to give more torque. Some of them are tough to get out due to heat weld. When install new one,put on antiseize compound on the thread.Use OEM sensor,or Denso.Sensor 1 is on the front of the catalytic converter, since your car only has 2 O2 sensors.
Disconnect the battery cables for about fifteen minutes. The engine light should reset and presto, you dont need a oxygen sensor anymore. It is just the manufacturer wanting more money for useless repairs.
