How do you change the oxygen sensor on a 1998 honda civic?

It can be tricky even with the special socket that you can get. They often get seized intoi the manifold and are tough to remove. Sometimes, I have been able to remove the heat sheild that wraps the manifold to get better exposure of the sensor then i just use a 7/8 wrench to get a good leverage on the sensor, and you can soak the thread area with penetrating oil too.

personally I wouldn't do it myself if it is located on the exhaust manifold because 9 times out of 10 you will need some type of heat because things like that have a good chance of breaking with just the socket they made for that job, which the socket you could probably buy at your local automotive store
