Can i do it myself instead of spending $80 an hour??

You need to be able to get a good wrench or O2 sensor socket on these things. Due to the heat in the exhaust manifold it's very likely that it will be VERY difficult to remove. Make sure you use a lot of WD-40. Once it's removed it's straight forward on how to replace. The difficulty with O2 sensors has always been the removal of them.

This page will show you the location. Choose your engine size.

should be attached to the exhaust manifold
I don't have information on the specific location but the O sensor is always located on the exhaust, usually by the manifold close to the motor. It is a small cylinder about 1%26quot; diameter and maybe 2-3%26quot; long with a wire running out of the center. It's purpose is to indicate if the exhaust gas has a high level of oxygen, indicating poor combustion. If the motor is not burning all the fuel properly, the catalytic converter will go prematurely.

It is usually a job you can do yourself. If you have a garage do it, it will most likely cost about $150.00. The most difficult part is getting the old sensor to unscrew out of the socket. They are usually rusted in pretty good. Get a wrench with a large drive (like 1/2%26quot;) and a long handle for more leverage. It may help to use a product to loosen up the rust around the sensor like PB Blaster. Remember to make sure the exhaust is cool before working on it.

Also, sometimes the fuel is the problem and not the sensor. If you want, try running a tank of premium to see if the check engine light will go off. Sometimes that is all the problem is.
